FAQ's

I need an appraisal on some old artwork. Can you help me?

If you have limited edition Civil War prints we would be happy to help you find out the value of them. We can also give you the going prices for local artists, such as Barry Richardson and David Yontz. We do not, however, appraise fine art, antiques, or civil war artifacts.

Do you take consignments?

Do you take consignments?

I'm sorry, but at this time we are not taking pieces on consignment. We recommend ebay for selling artwork, and have found that unframed pieces sell easier than framed. If you would like us to take your artwork out

of your frame, we would be happy to assist you.

How quickly can I have my artwork framed?

Our typical turnaround time for custom framing is 12-14 days. However, we can certainly have your piece ready in as little as a few days. We do stock some mats and moulding here at the store, and to have an order done quickly, we ask that you choose something we have. For other choices, the items are ordered in, therefore the longer wait.

What if I buy framed artwork and when I get it home it doesn't look right?

Any framed artwork that you purchase from our store is exchangeable within 30 days with receipt. Changing a mat color or the frame may be a small fee.

How much does framing cost?

Framing prices vary based on the size of the piece and the mats or frame chosen. If you'd like a quick estimate, please send

us a message with the size of your piece and what type of framing (in general) that you're looking for, and we'll get back to you with a price range.

What options do I have for conservation framing?

All of the matting we use is acid-free. However, additional options include UV glass (blocks 99% of UV rays to prevent fading), and wheat paste hinging (acid-free and reversible).

What about large fabrics, such as flags or dresses?

Yes, we can certainly frame fabrics as well. We can discuss the options with you when we see the piece. A very large piece is best framed with plexi to keep the weight down and reduce the chance of breaking. You may want to select a shadowbox for added depth, but it is not necessary.

I have a business and need a few dozen pictures for my walls but can't hang them myself.

If you need pieces for your business and are located within a reasonable distance from our gallery, we will be more than happy to hang then for you upon delivery. We also offer consultations to help you decide the right look and number of pieces to complete your space.
